Public Relations Society of America Honors SBC PR at Annual Prism Awards Ceremony

Columbus, OH (May 9, 2006) – SBC Public Relations received one PRism award and four "Awards of Excellence" at the annual PRism awards ceremony hosted by the Central Ohio Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). PRism awards are the highest honor in public relations and recognize work completed during the previous calendar year. Entries were judged on persuasiveness of content, creativity, results/effectiveness, quality of production and appropriateness for identified audience, and winning campaigns showcase "best in class" public relations work.

"Our PR division produced a number of powerful programs during the past year under the leadership of Zack Bingham. We're proud of the work they've accomplished for our clients and excited that it is receiving recognition by their peers," said David Dennis, president of SBC Advertising.

The PRism award, which denotes first place, recognized SBC's work for Elmer's Products Inc. in the Single-Item Entry category and Media/Press Kit subcategory. The team designed an Elmer's-branded Tool Box that creatively demonstrated the capabilities of the company's wood glue product line and encouraged media recipients to construct their own wooden photo frame using the enclosed materials. This unique approach garnered more than 11 million media impressions and has received several other industry accolades.

Multifaceted Campaigns

• Special Events - Armstrong Building Products Project Michelangelo Launch Event - In November 2005, SBC planned, coordinated and executed a showroom event for top-tier shelter publications in New York City. The showroom featured Armstrong's existing and new residential ceiling products in individual custom room scenes.
• Marketing Communications/New Products or Services - Elmer's Products Inc. Squeeze 'n Brush Launch - SBC coordinated a creative mailer, celebrity mom mailer, editorial tour and product giveaways in spring 2005. The program yielded more than 35 million media impressions and a product endorsement from Teri Hatcher.

Single-Item Entries

• Direct Mail/Direct Response - Channellock Inc. New Product Media Sampling Program -Channellock introduced the Code Blue product line, #444 air brake tool and #960 locknut plier. To increase media interest, SBC designed and distributed a creative mailer that housed a tool sample and collateral information. The program is expected to garner 15.5 million media impressions.
• Creative Tactics - Elmer's Products Inc. Back-to School 2006 - SBC partnered Elmer's with Parenting magazine to conduct an online back-to-school survey geared toward moms. The results were packaged in a nationwide matte release. The release ran in 20 of the top 50 markets and garnered more than 20 million media impressions.
