Columbus, OH (February 27, 2007) – The SBC Advertising team recently traveled to Orlando, Fla., for the annual International Builders' Show (IBS). The team represented four category leaders in their respective industries - Armstrong Residential Ceilings, Tyco Fire & Building Products, Wayne-Dalton Garage Doors and Openers and Worthington Integrated Building Systems - by leading media outreach, coordinating booth editorial appointments with more than 40 media outlets, and designing exhibits and advanced media presentations.
During the show, SBC's clients met with print, television and online media outlets including Woman's Day Home Remodeling, HGTV Pro, Martha Stewart Living, Country Home, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens, House & Garden and Midwest Living. SBC and Armstrong wowed media members with the debut of two new decorative ceiling products. Tyco and SBC continue efforts to educate builders and consumers about the life-saving benefits of residential fire sprinklers. Wayne-Dalton and SBC showcased new home automation technologies never before considered for garage doors to media and consumers. Worthington Integrated Building Systems debuted their steel framing solution to the residential marketplace with the help of the SBC team.
"IBS is more than simply collating press kits and giving booth tours. It's a tremendous opportunity to meet face to face with editors, builders, developers and architects, educate them about our clients' new products and initiatives, and generate targeted media interest that lasts throughout the year," said Zack Bingham, director of public relations at SBC. "We managed media so that our clients could focus on offering valuable insights and tips on the building industry, as well as keep key media abreast of new trends." Rich Wiley, associate marketing manager for Armstrong Residential Ceilings added, "This year's Builders' Show was another great success for us. The editorial appointments and booth tours continue to emphasize the emergence of the ceiling design category and educate our key customers and consumers about our new products. We realize the importance in maintaining existing relationships with the media, as well as working to form new ones."
