SBC Advertising Sets Up Shop in Arena District

Columbus, OH (February 20, 2008) – The buzz surrounding the revitalization of Columbus' Arena District recently intensified with the addition of its newest resident, SBC Advertising. SBC Advertising, a leading retail agency, has officially set up shop at 333 W. Nationwide Boulevard on the historic Belmont Block.

The renovated 31,000 square foot building provides the agency with abundant client and recruitment opportunities along with the capacity to accommodate continued growth. SBC's nearly 100 employees formerly occupied office space at 707 Park Meadow Road in Westerville.

The move from Westerville, a city in which SBC thrived for nearly 25 years, was the direct result of multiple years of record growth. New accounts, such as The Honeybaked Ham Company, Bed Bath & Beyond and Christmas Tree Shops, have driven a need for increased space, as well as a refinement of how the agency's various specialized services work together.

SBC's new central location hosts a variety of upgraded amenities for its national client base, including an on-site commercial test kitchen, state-of-the-art asset management system, greatly enhanced digital technologies, and an innovative Consumer Lab.

The agency's Consumer Lab is a flexible, living room-like setting that provides its clients with a unique alternative to the traditional, passive focus group facility. "We encourage client teams to participate in consumer workshops in one of two ways - through remote viewing via a live video feed or by joining in the conversation with consumers when it's appropriate for such participation," said Karen Raidel, SBC account planning director. "The new lab space promotes unorthodox client participation and can accommodate interviews of all shapes and sizes."

Another benefit of the agency's relocation that will positively impact SBC's client base is that of increased recruitment opportunities and improved collaboration amongst employees.

"Attracting and retaining the best creative and marketing talent in the industry continues to be a top priority for SBC," said David Dennis, SBC president. "We believe that our decision to relocate to the Arena District will help us to meet that goal, and ultimately, enable us to continue to provide the highest standard of service to our clients."

Employee perks resulting from the move include designated parking, a high-tech lounge area, collaborative workspaces, enhanced presentation capabilities and of course, a dynamic new neighborhood to call home - one within batting distance of Huntington Park.
